Student Learning

Since 1996, more than 60 Duke undergraduate and graduate students have worked with HIP-related projects as research assistants and interns.

During the summer and following school year, HIP offers a Student Internship Program allowing students to explore health inequalities through

  • research,
  • policymaking, and
  • fieldwork.

Projects vary from year to year, but students are placed with one of the current research activities being conducted by HIP researchers.

Open to current Sophomores and Juniors. Non-Duke students are encouraged to apply.
